Marie Williams is the founder of Coderella. Her strategic, relationship-based approach to storytelling has made her a trusted PR partner to startups, established companies, and the media. Highlights of her more than 10-year career include working on Yelp’s first PR agency team, driving Silicon Valley strategy for Microsoft Bing, and launching UGOBE’s robotic baby dinosaur, Pleo.
While in college, Williams began her career interning for an entertainment publicist in Malibu, then quickly moved into tech PR. After four years agency-side, she jumped into startup life at cloud-based wireless pioneer Meraki, where she led marketing communications for the company prior to its acquisition by Cisco.
Since founding Coderella in 2012, Williams has indulged her fondness for the consumer-tech and high-tech industries, working with a range of clients like wireless pioneer Ubiquiti Networks, developer darling npm, and cult geek tool IFTTT.
Williams graduated from Pepperdine University with a dual degree in public relations and Spanish.
