Donated by Silicon Valley chipmaker Cerebras, the rare chip is a single square piece of silicon—about 8.5” on a side—and has 2.6 trillion transistors on it, far more than in all 100,000 computing objects in the Museum’s permanent collection combined. The chip will be on display at CHM starting August 3, 2022.
Learn Photoshop from the pros, experience the sights and sounds of classic computing, try your hand at coding, and discover why computer history is more than 2,000 years old. Discover all this and more in CHM’s onsite and online exhibits.
