Dave Martin is Founder and Managing Director of 280 Capital Partners, a mid-market technology Private Equity and Strategic Advisory firm. He has extensive experience as a Senior Executive, CEO Leader, Leader of CEOs and Private Equity (PE) Investor in Silicon Valley (SV) based Information Technology (IT) Companies with specific focus on Silicon, Systems, Storage and Software. This focus has been more recently expanded into Energy, Media, EdTech and MedTech.
Dave has extensive fundraising experience, including having raised over 40 VC investment rounds. He also has extensive M&A experience including direct involvement in over 40 M&A transactions as Buyer, Seller or Strategic Advisor.
He has been involved with various industry associations including the Computer and Communications Industry Association (CCIA)-Member of Executive Committee and the Corporation for Open Systems (COS)-Founding Member.
He is also active with various non-profit organizations including being on the Board of Trustees of the Computer History Museum (CHM). There he was Co-Chairman of the Founding Advisors (FA) of the Exponential Center for "Innovation and Entrepreneurs": The Center is the leader in providing the History/Exhibits, Events, Research, Education and Thought Leadership on this subject.
